Get to Know the Coach
Coach Kris Penza Terrell is a veteran volleyball player and coach, who began her notable career as a 1986 Junior Olympic All American Team selection. While in high school Kris played for Sports Performance, serving as captain her senior year. After graduating high school, Kris went to Western Michigan University on a volleyball scholarship.
At 19, Kris started coaching along with playing. She has since helped coach as an assistant or head of middle school, high school, club and collegiate teams. While playing for WMU Kris was voted Co-Captain, team MVP and to Mid American Conference All Academic Team. She held the school's record for career assists from 1993 to 2018.
These days, Kris coaches private lessons as the owner and founder of Penza Sports Advantage, LLC.
